1,500 Discovery Gardens residents sign up for Nakheel’s free community health check scheme

11th June 2017

Over 1,500 residents of Discovery Gardens in Dubai took part in a community health awareness scheme organised by Nakheel in conjunction with City Centre Clinic Ibn Battuta Mall.

The two-month campaign offered free medical once-overs – including tests for blood sugar and blood pressure and a general health consultation – to people living in 63 buildings the community.

Spearheaded by Nakheel Strata, which manages the buildings involved, the scheme began in April and continued into the first week of Ramadan, with clinics held seven days a week in the afternoons and evenings to ensure that residents could take part at a time convenient to them.

A Nakheel spokesman said: “This highly-popular initiative enabled people to undergo simple yet vital medical checks right on their doorstep. Following its success, we are planning a series of similar schemes at other developments as part of our commitment to organising and hosting events that promote heath, wellbeing, social interaction and education to people living and working in our communities across Dubai.”
